Training My Young Horses

It's been a rewarding Summer for me to be able to train my own stock. I usually spend most of my time on outside horses.

Maddie has been coming out everyday which helps me to have more time to train.

She's also been learning to train along side of me. It's been very helpful. This is "Hero" and he's coming along very well. He's very athletic and energetic. We've been able to harness some of that energy and teach him to stay calm.

This is "Sonny" . He surprised me. I thought he'd be lazy but he's not. He is actually very coordinated and will keep moving at whatever pace that he's asked. I quite enjoy training him. He's smart and athletic as well. I was going to use him for a kids horse but he's showing good potential as a reining horse. He still has a great disposition and will be compatable with most riders. I just want to keep him fine tuned.

This is "Sampson". He is a three or four yr. old Arab. He had a few bad habits. However, he has great potential. Here he decided to lay down and roll. He belongs to a client.
I'm glad that I get to train as well as instruct students. This is my dream. I knew what I always wanted to do. I don't know many people who love their jobs as much as I do. It's also rewarding to be able to work with the people that I do.
