Despite The Rain...

Despite the rain, life goes on. We have responsibilities that require us to function. So "raindrops keep fallin' on my head, and just like the guy who's feet were too big for his bed. Nothin' seems to fit. So I just did me some talkin' my Farrier (Albert Miller) and I said , please get these horses trimmed so they can be lead!

"No hoof, no horse!" Horses hooves should receive attention every six to eight weeks and whenever necessary.

This is an update photo of "India's" sarcoid. I made an appointment to get this one surgically removed. He suggested that we wait 'til Fall since the procedure will delay using her for several months. However, after further research and second oppinion, I realize that I need to give the ointment another chance. We need to apply it more to the base of the sarcoid and not just topical. This makes sense and the easier to get to sarcoids are dissolving.

The forecast was rain for this horseshow held on Saturday, June 20th, 2009 in Driggs, Idaho. Many prospective participants were swayed by the weather report and forfeited the opportunity to be involved with a well organized and fun show.

Pictured is a true winner! One who shows up despite the rain.

I had fun judging this show. The people involved were so good natured and opened minded. Of course, why else would they have shown up. I want to thank Christine Meyers, Cyndi Friend, who worked so hard behind the scenes to provide an opportunity for us all to learn and grow. "Collin" the announcer was the life of the party. He really knows how to sing in the rain. Also, thanks to the great contestants. True test of character was displayed by all those who showed up. It didn't rain until the last of the classes. My motto: "Expect the Best, and be prepared for the Worst." If ye prepare ye shall not fear! The show was a success and so were the participants.
Let it Rain!

  1. I like your "raindrops are fallin' on my head" jingle. ha ha. That looks like a nice horse show, too. We're getting tons of rain in Philly also. But your positive outlook helps me look at the bright side as well. Thanks!
